How do we manage to enter a place and deal with that negative person that is always complaining about everything, while showing empathy?
Have you ever been in a situation where you get to work, trying to have a good morning, but there is that coworker that always has a negative vibe?
It had happened to me multiple times with friends, coworkers and even family. I am sure if you are here, you have been through the same.
1- Don't compromise your energy.
The first thing that i would share with you is, your energy is your power. Don't ever give away your energy. There is only a few people in the world that deserve your energy and only you get to choose them. What i mean is that you don't have to deal with people that drain you every time you see them, even if it's your family. You need to look after yourself and create a life you love and are proud to live. When we give away our energy, we are on the opposite side of accomplishing our dreams because, we are letting our energy to be compromise by other people. When you give power to an external person to opine, judge or decide over your life, you are living in someone else's energy. The strongest energy will always have the lead regardless if it's positive or negative. If you are a very positive person and you can influence a friend in a positive way, totally do so. Just make sure your energy is happy, enthusiastic, inspiring and motivating and for most full of love. If by any chance you are not feeling any of this don't even try it, because your energy will be parallel to the person you are with.
2- Practice rituals and routines to improve your life.
I will always be a fan of following a morning and night time routine. I also equally enjoy practicing reset rituals, full moon and manifestation rituals. Anything that you can do to improve your life and uplift yourself is valid. Imagine waking up at 5:00 am because you have to be at work at 6:00 am. You jump in the shower, make a cup of coffee and run out the door to apply your make up while driving. When you include more time in your mornings and you don't have to rush so much your entire day and energy change tremendously. You will find yourself more energetic and positive if you include movement and meditation. At night, the quality of your sleep often depends on the last thing you do during the night. For instance, if you watch a horror movie right before bed, most probably your sleep will be uncomfortable, perhaps you will experience nightmare or insomnia. The way that you experience life is also a way to protect your energy. It is good to practice activities that will make you feel good about yourself and happy overall.
3- Listen to positive audios
No matter what you choose to listen to through out the day a podcast, a YouTube audio, an audio book or a motivational video, pick something positive to listen at least, once a day. Positive audios will keep you inspire and motivated. You can also gain some knowledge out of them depending on, what you are listening to. You will face the day and circumstances in a more calming and patient manner. It doesn't mean that you have to listen to something like this the entire day, but dedicating some minutes in the morning is a great way to start your day. There are a ton of audio books that are very motivating and they will keep you moving in the right direction at all times, if you are consistent. These are some that i recommend, You Are a Badass at Everything, The 5 Am Club, Big Magic. Motivation come and go and it will happen the same to your energy, if you do not take care of it. Keeping yourself positive, happy and motivated it's only your responsibility, make sure you show up for yourself in whatever way you choose.
